The project will help relieve congestion at Thickthorn junction by providing two new free-flowing slip roads that will connect the A47 with the A11. The new slip roads will re-route traffic away from the junction and flow it under new underpasses. The project has recently submitted a Development Consent Order to the Planning Inspectorate and the project is forecast to commence on site in early 2023 and will take around 2 years to complete. Outline Scope of Works Bored Piling - Sheet Piling - Provision of all labour, plant, and temporary works as required to provide the subcontract works. The estimate contract amount for this package is expected to be within the following range [PS500,000 - PS1,000,000] Programme It is anticipated that the above scope of works will commence in 2023.
