## Summary

Leeds City Council is conducting a tender for the "Housing Leeds Planned Works 2018: Windows and Doors" project, focusing on construction work primarily related to the installation and maintenance of windows and doors in domestic and commercial properties across the Yorkshire and the Humber region. The procurement process is at the award stage, with key dates including a contract period starting from 1st April 2018 and ending on 31st March 2022. The total value of the contract is estimated at £8 million, and the method of procurement is a selective procedure, aiming to appoint four contractors to a framework agreement. The submission deadline for the initial tender phase was 12th April 2017.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in construction, particularly those involved in window and door installation, building completion work, and related trades. Companies that are well-equipped to handle large-scale projects and possess expertise in health and safety compliance would be ideally suited to compete. With an anticipated annual investment of £2 million, potential contractors can benefit from a mini-competition process to secure substantial works with the Council, cultivating growth in a competitive market.

## Notice

This opportunity is in relation to planned investment works into Windows and Doors in the Leeds City Council managed domestic properties as well as commercial asset units, such as estate shops and any linked dwellings, and garages. A description of the works required is included in the attached tender documents. Potential bidders are encouraged to review these documents and submit a PQQ. The Council anticipates issuing works to the value of PS2million annually and is looking to appoint 4 contractors to a framework agreement. There will then be a mini-competition process where the Council would intend to allocate works to two contractors per annum. The Scope will include all the whole of the labour and unless otherwise indicated, all required design, Materials, Plant and Equipment necessary to form a complete installation, and such tests, adjustments and commissioning as are prescribed in the Works Information and Appendix 1 technical specification and as may otherwise be required to give an effective installation to the specification, and includes, but is not limited to: * Survey * Design * Manufacture * Removal and disposal * Supply * Installation * Health and safety * Elemental pre-works surveys, if requested on specific instruction of the Employer
