Objectives of this research project are to: * Identify the non-market benefits of investing in R&D; * Develop a typology of non-market impacts of R&D; * Analyse and provide evidence on these impacts and their prevalence and presence across various R&D technology areas (e.g. Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund challenge areas or key innovative technology areas identified by bodies such as the OECD); * Highlight areas in which further research is needed in order to strengthen the evidence base.
