Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking to appoint a District Environmental Officer/ Food Safety x 2. To carry out the duties of an ealth Officer. Persons with other qualifications to be given a title appropriate to their role. To plan and implement a schedule of inspections, investigations or regulated organisations Plan a visit to a regulated organisation Carryout a visit plan To identify the need for improved risk control in regulated organisations Assess the quality of hazard identification in a regulated organisation Assess the quality of risk assessment in a regulated organisation Identify specific needs for improved risk control To promote and support the improvement of risk control in regulated organisations Specify targets for improved risk control Provide advice on methods to improve risk control To secure compliance with legislation Secure compliance by education, discussion and persuasion To promote and develop awareness of Environmental Health issues Raise Environmental Health awareness during inspections and investigations Deliver lectures and campaigns to develop Environmental Health awareness To establish and maintain productive working relationships Establish and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues Establish and maintain productive working relationships with contacts external to the organisation.
