This event aims to gather feedback on a new Urgent Care Centre service model intended to streamline access for patients in Northern Staffordshire. The engagement is set to culminate on 23rd February 2018, with an event scheduled for 5th December 2016 at the Smithfield One Building in Stoke on Trent. Engaging in this stakeholder event can enhance visibility and establish connections with the NHS, driving potential growth for businesses involved in healthcare innovation. ## Notice North Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent CCGs have undertaken the design of a new service model for an Urgent Care Centre including a GPOOH provision for the population of Northern Staffordshire; this is in line with best practice nationally and aims to reduce the number of admissions into acute services. This is a service to: a) Stream all self-presenting patients arriving at the ED at the Royal Stoke to determine whether they have a need that can be met in a primary care environment; this in turn will aim to reduce demand on ED services; b) Provide access for patients with an identified primary care medical need who initially present at ED; c) Provide urgent access to a GP during the out of hour's period for patients assessed with a primary care need by the NHS111 service. Commissioners are therefore inviting interested Bidders to an event to be held on Monday 5th December from 1.00pm at Smithfield One Building, Leonard Coates Way, Hanley, Stoke on Trent, ST1 4FA. (Can Bidders please make their way to the third floor of the building and register their arrival at reception; please note that it is not possible to book in at the reception desk located on the ground floor).
