The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) is a public body. It serves 1.6 million people and brings together six local authorities; Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St. Helens and Wirral. The LCRCA is currently delivering a transformational 'Race Equality Programme', which seeks to meet the Metro Mayors vision of "tackling systemic injustice and inequality and driving forward positive change for our Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority employees and residents - influencing the partners we work with to do the same". The Programme has recently secured PS3.6m of funding to deliver projects in this space and is supported by a Declaration of Intent, signed in March 2021 which is a public facing organisational commitment to Race Equality. One such project in this programme is the Learning & Development (L&D) Training collaboration project with Local Authorities. The LCRCA is looking to commission a service provider from across the Liverpool City Region (LCR) and beyond to be considered for the development of a Race Equality and Anti-Racism training programme and materials as well as delivery of the first phase of training rollout as part of the L&D Training Collaboration Project.
