## Summary

The NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit is undertaking a tender process titled "NHS England and NHS Improvement South West - Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) across the South West." This procurement, classified under health and social work services, aims to re-commission Sexual Offence Examiner (SOE) and SARC provision for both adults and children across the South West region, which includes Avon & Somerset, Devon & Cornwall, and Swindon & Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. The procurement process is currently at the 'Tender' stage, with the deadline for Stage 1 applications set for 18th June 2021. The total contract value is £31,403,539, and the contract period is expected to commence on 1st October 2022 and run until 30th September 2029.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in healthcare and support services, particularly those able to deliver integrated SARC and SOE services. Companies that can demonstrate experience in providing high-quality, compassionate care for victims of sexual assault, and that are capable of meeting national clinical standards will be well-suited for this procurement. Both small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary and community sector enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, as the procurement allows bids for multiple service lots, thereby facilitating competitors from various niches within the healthcare sector.
