THE ROLE On behalf of the community of Gurdwara Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, Corporate SR CIC is now seeking the services of a Conservation Accredited Surveyor to take on the role of professional advisor to assist with the satisfactory completion of the project. BACKGROUND Potternewton Mansion, originally known as Harehills Grove, is an early 19th century home to Leeds woollen industry industrialists. The two-storey building, which is constructed from coursed squared stone has large bay windows, with a central portico to the front elevation. A stone outbuilding to the rear of the building remains in poor condition with structural issues affecting its stability. The building has recently undergone considerable repairs to the roof and upper floor windows, making It watertight. The next phase of repairs will begin in November and run for up to 2 years to include HLF grant Development and Delivery phases. OUTCOMES During the development phase to organise a schedule of specialist investigations and reports to include: - Structural/Environmental Surveys - Appoint a Structural Engineer - Appoint a Fire Engineer - Appoint a historic masonry conservator - CDM - Work up a Report to include a Priced Schedule of Works for submission to HLF and Historic England. The key points set out above must be met in order that the Heritage Lottery Fund second-round bid can be submitted by 20th June 2018 deadline.
