## Summary

The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for a new Building Works Framework aimed at refurbishment projects across London and Greater London. The framework is expected to have a duration of four years and will enable the MPS, alongside GLA Functional Bodies and wider public sector entities in the South East, to enter into individual contracts valued up to £5 million, with the majority around £1 million. Interested parties must confirm their interest by responding to the preliminary market engagement questionnaire by 22 January 2021.

This procurement presents substantial opportunities for construction and refurbishment businesses, particularly those specialising in internal fit-out, mechanical and electrical installations, and other related works. Companies focused on minor and intermediate value refurbishments will be especially suited to compete, given the anticipated annual spend of £25 million to £40 million. By registering their interest and engaging with the MPS, businesses can position themselves to take part in a lucrative framework that addresses essential refurbishment needs within the public sector.

## Notice

The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) is considering the procurement of a new building works framework and is initially seeking to engage with the market to gain views from interested contractors on the structure of the new framework. Interested contractors should register their interest through the EU Supply portal to receive a pre-market engagement questionnaire to be returned by the portal response deadline date.
