## Summary

The procurement process is currently in the active stage, initiated by ESPO, a central purchasing body in the UK. The title of this tender is "203_21 Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Products and Services," which falls under the health and social work services industry category. The procurement method is an open procedure resulting in a framework agreement that is available for public bodies across various sectors, including local authorities, educational establishments, and NHS bodies, throughout the UK. The tender submission period ends on 22 January 2021, with bids opening on the same day, and the contractual arrangements are set to run from 1 March 2021 to 28 February 2023, with a possible two-year extension.

This opportunity can significantly benefit businesses specialising in technology-enabled care services, including telecare, telehealth, and associated equipment. Companies that offer health and social work services, software solutions, emergency and security systems, or consultancy services in the healthcare sector would be well-suited to compete in this tender. The framework agreement will allow successful bidders to establish long-term relationships with a diverse range of public sector clients, thus providing a pathway for expansion and increased service delivery in the growing field of health technology services.

## Notice

This framework agreement will include a direct call off catalogue and a list of pre-approved specialist providers of technology enabled care services, including telecare and telehealth services and equipment, monitoring, response services, lifestyle monitoring, analytics and consultancy. The framework is intended to meet the needs of a fully outsourced provision as well as the purchase of individual pieces of equipment. To tender: (a) go to www.eastmidstenders.org; (b) register; (c) search for tender opportunity '203_20'; (d) express an interest; (e) download the tender from the website. Additional information: ESPO has established a commercial trading company, ESPO Trading Ltd, whose target clients are third sector organisations such as national and local charities, public sector mutual organisations and other organisations involved in the delivery of services to or for the public sector. The successful supplier may be asked to enter into an additional separate framework agreement (the Second Framework) with ESPO Trading Ltd on materially similar terms to that found in the tender pack to be entered into by ESPO itself. Any second framework agreement will be a purely commercial agreement and will, for the avoidance of doubt, not be governed by the Public Contract Regulations 2015 or other public procurement legislation. ESPO Trading Ltd may enter into the second framework agreement with the successful supplier and make it available to third sector clients who themselves are not required to follow the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 or other public procurement legislation. Accordingly, this is provided for bidders' information only. An eAuction process may be used to award subsequent call off contracts following the reopening of competition among the parties to the framework agreement. This is a supplement contract notice in accordance with Procurement Policy Note 08/20 - Introduction of Find a Tender. The original contract notices published in OJEU on 23/11/2020 and Contracts Finder on 25/11/2020.
