## Summary

Aberystwyth University is currently overseeing a public procurement process titled "New Life for Old College," which is focused on construction works related to education and research. This initiative aims to revitalise the historic Old College building on Aberystwyth's seafront, necessitating extensive restoration and modernisation efforts. The procurement process is at the tender stage, with bids open until 10 February 2021. The project carries an estimated value of £25 million and necessitates compliance with European Union funding criteria, as it is part of a broader economic and social objectives initiative.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in construction, restoration, and architectural services, particularly those experienced in heritage projects and educational facilities. Companies that can deliver community benefits and engage in social or environmental considerations will be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. As the project coordinates substantial redevelopment, there is also potential for collaborations among contractors, suppliers, and small businesses wishing to participate in the supporting activities for the project.
