## Summary

The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), representing the Mayor's Office for Policing & Crime (MOPAC), is initiating the "Project Electra - Market Engagement" regarding the installation of Vehicle Charging Infrastructure. This procurement process is currently in the planning stage, with a future notice expected on 12 April 2021. The aim is to install approximately 600 charging points across several sites on the MPS estate located in Greater London, with plans to complete them by 2025. The procurement method involves using a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to identify capable suppliers and conduct further competitions based on their feedback.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in project management consultancy services and the supply of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Suppliers with expertise in electrical equipment for vehicles, charging technology, and those who can support the extensive deployment and maintenance of these infrastructures will be well-positioned to compete. Engaging with this market research exercise not only allows potential suppliers to influence the MPS's final procurement decisions but also helps them establish valuable connections within a growing sector focused on sustainable transport solutions.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

On behalf of the Mayor's Office for Policing & Crime (MOPAC), the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) has a requirement for Vehicle Charging Infrastructure and seeks feedback from suppliers as part of a market research exercise as notified within the PIN. The MPS aspires to install 600 charging points across numerous sites on our estate by 2025. The anticipated future estate will comprise of circa 150 buildings, with 80 of those with onsite generation. We also have numerous stations that have dedicated Police parking bays outside the premises in public areas where charging points could also be installed. Additional information: The MPS may access an existing Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Solutions Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) agreement (reference RM6213), let and run by Crown Commercial Services (CCS). The MPS will use the DPS filtering tool as a mechanism to ascertain a list of capable suppliers (who are already on the DPS) and create an export list in order to conduct a further competition.
