## Summary

The Scottish Police Authority has initiated a tender for the "Provision of Planned Heritable Asset Valuations," valued at up to GBP 150,000, exclusive of VAT. This procurement, classified under real estate services, is aimed at appointing a qualified contractor to conduct asset valuations of police properties across various locations, including Glasgow. This process is currently in the award stage, and the successful contract was signed on 11 January 2021. The invitation for bids followed an open procurement method, and the authority requires the contractor to comply with specific standards set by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in asset management and valuation services, particularly those with a focus on real estate and construction consultancy. Companies that are registered members of RICS and possess experience with public sector contracts will be well-positioned to compete for this work, especially as the contract may allow for variations during its term to accommodate changing asset needs. Given the scope of service required, businesses engaged in building surveying, property management, and related consultancy services should consider exploring this opportunity.
