## Summary

The Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) is conducting a complete procurement process for a "Staff Absence Protection & Reimbursement Framework" that primarily serves the education sector, including schools, academies, and further education institutions across the UK. The procurement is classified under services, specifically insurance services (CPV code 66510000). The open procedure allows participation from various providers, with a tender period that concluded on 24 February 2021. Notably, the total estimated value of the framework agreement is £60 million, structured into two lots focusing on Staff Absence Insurance and a Discretionary Mutual arrangement, both actively seeking proposals from suppliers.

This procurement opportunity presents a significant prospect for businesses in the insurance and educational services sectors. Companies specialising in insurance solutions tailored for educational institutions, especially those with capabilities to manage staff absence costs, would find this tender particularly aligned with their offerings. Additionally, local authorities managing educational establishments could also benefit from leveraging the framework. Given the potential for substantial contracts and the inclusion of preferred providers within the CPC network, this is an advantageous opportunity for both large firms and SMEs seeking to expand their reach within the education sector.

## Notice

The CPC is seeking to establish a Framework Agreement of preferred providers of Staff Absence Protection whom are able to provide reimbursement of staff absence costs for CPC Members. The Framework Agreement is expected to be of primary interest to CPC Member Schools and Academies in any part of the UK but all CPC members will be eligible to access the framework including further education colleges/institutions, universities, sixth forms, academies, schools, museums and other similar organisations. Local Authorities may also wish to use the resulting framework when procuring on behalf of Educational Establishments. CPC Member details are available here: https://www.thecpc.ac.uk/members/regions.php Future members of the CPC will be from the education sector, with details available here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/get-information-about-schools
