## Summary

Wessex Water Services Ltd recently concluded a procurement process for their "Site Investigation & Contaminated Land Services" framework, under the CPV code 71351500 (Ground investigation services). This contract, located within the Wessex Water operational region (UKK), involved several comprehensive tasks such as soil, water, gas, and chemical investigations, drilling methodologies, site supervision, and testing. The framework agreement, which stages included planning and award, commenced with a standstill period ensuring compliance with The Utilities Regulations 2016, with contracts signed on 3rd February 2025. Multiple suppliers, including RSK Environment Ltd, Structural Soils Limited, and Jackson Drilling Holdings Ltd, were awarded under this selective procedure, identified as a "Negotiated procedure with prior call for competition."

This framework offers substantial opportunities for businesses particularly in the geotechnical, environmental consulting, and engineering services sectors. Companies capable of providing site investigation and contaminated land services, including sampling, drilling, and technical site supervision, are well-suited to compete. This tender aligns with suppliers looking to expand their portfolio within the water sector, offering potential for significant business growth given the extension options and broad scope of required services. SMEs, alongside large enterprises, capable of adhering to rigorous environmental and technical standards set by Wessex Water can find this framework highly beneficial.
