## Summary

Wessex Water Services Ltd conducted a procurement process for the "Design and Build Contractors (Minor Works) Framework Agreement" focused on water and sewage construction services in the UKK region. The procurement process, initiated as a selective negotiated procedure with prior call for competition, proceeded to the award and contract stage with completion marked on 6th October 2025. The tender was aimed at establishing a framework agreement for minor works projects involving refurbishments and maintenance across potable and wastewater facilities over an initial five-year period, with the potential for a three-year extension. The industry category for this procurement falls under works, specifically construction for water and sewage pipelines, with contracts signed on 24th September 2025.

This tender facilitates substantial opportunities for businesses involved in construction work for water and sewage pipelines. Companies providing mechanical and electrical services, civil engineering support, or pipeline design and maintenance will find this tender particularly beneficial. The procurement process is tailored for businesses that excel in delivering high-quality infrastructure development and refurbishment services. Companies looking to expand in the public sector and within the utility services market will find participation advantageous, especially those with expertise in works related to water-distribution pipelines and wastewater management systems. The contract inclusivity of SMEs alongside larger enterprises signifies a comprehensive opening for market players of various scales.
