## Summary

Torbay Council is currently facilitating an open tender process for the "Edge of Care Services Framework", aimed at providing essential social work and related services for children and young people in Torbay. The tender is currently at the planning stage, with a submission deadline on 8 March 2021. The procurement encompasses two lots: Short Term or Crisis Response and Longer Term Interventions, both intended to deliver comprehensive support to children, their families, and carers. Potential providers must be equipped to respond flexibly to crises and offer ongoing intervention, contributing to the well-being of the community in the UKK42 region.

This tender presents ample opportunities for businesses focused on social work, child welfare, and family support services. Companies experienced in providing direct services to children and adults, especially those with evidence-based parenting programs or crisis intervention strategies, will find this process particularly relevant. The framework duration is set for three years, with a potential extension of two years, allowing businesses to build lasting collaborations with the Torbay Council in enhancing community support and safeguarding.

## Notice

The Torbay 'Edge of Care' Service requires additional, commissioned resources to support and complement their work with children and young people, from birth until adulthood. The scope of this commissioning process is to identify skilled providers who can work with and alongside the team to meet the needs of Torbay children and young people, their families, carers and support networks. Typically Edge of Care interventions require either: Intensive input on a short term basis to respond to crises, with planning and interventions being completed within an average of 6-12 weeks (Lot 1); and/or Longer-term, planned work, with interventions being completed i.e. longer than a 6 week duration (Lot 2)
