## Summary

The Department of Health and Social Care has successfully completed a procurement process for the provision of COVID-19 antibody test kits titled "Fortress Diagnostics COVID-19 Antibody Test Kits". This procurement falls under the goods category, specifically classified as diagnostic kits in the healthcare industry. The procurement method used was a limited procedure, awarded without prior publication of a call for competition, due to the specific technical reasons related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The contract was signed on 12 January 2021, with an allocated budget of £750,000, and the products are to be delivered across the UK.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in medical supplies, particularly those with expertise in diagnostic equipment. Companies similar to Una Health Limited, the active supplier in this tender, would be well-positioned to compete successfully due to the exclusive nature of the contract and the urgent need for reliable testing kits in the ongoing public health response. Businesses that can provide high-quality medical devices or have innovative solutions for healthcare challenges may find this environment conducive for growth and partnership with governmental health authorities.
