This is an excellent chance for local construction firms to contribute to Central Bedfordshire's development efforts while expanding their portfolio through collaborative projects with the council and other public authorities. ## Notice Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) will be undertaking a framework contract to appoint building construction partners to carry out construction, building and related works on behalf of CBC and/or other Public Contracting Authorities within the central region of England.CBC is committed to providing opportunities for developing and supporting the local economy and we are keen to understand the current marketplace in the construction industry.We are currently proposing the below Lot design and banding, however through engagement with contractors this may be reviewed: LOT 1 - covers the construction value range of projects between PS20k to PS750kLOT 2 - covers the construction value range of projects from PS500k to PS3.5MLOT 3 - covers the construction value range of projects from PS2.75M to PS10MLOT 4 - covers the construction value range of projects in excess of PS8M with no upper limit.We will appoint a time within the Lot engagement presentations which we will programme for 23rd and 24th March 2021.As part of our research to develop the framework, we wish to engage and invite contractors to contribute their current knowledge and experiences via a short questionnaire, which will help us shape the framework and scope of works for the current local market conditions.The questionnaire will be sent to contractors to complete on the 25th - 26th March 2021 and we may contact your further to discuss your responses. Completion of this questionnaire is optional and will not be included in an evaluation part of the Tender process.If you wish to be invited to the research engagement, to express your interest, please e-mail Claire.edmunds@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk by 19th March 2021 and confirm the banding you are interested in.The procurement route is expected to follow the Restricted process.
