## Summary

The procurement process titled "NHSE619 - Regional Interpretation & Translation Services" is being conducted by NHS England and NHS Improvement North East & Yorkshire on behalf of several Clinical Commissioning Groups within the North East region. This initiative falls within the services category, specifically focusing on translation services for primary care patients whose first language is not English. The procurement is currently at the award stage, having been signed on 23 February 2021, and it entails a contract term of three years, commencing 01 April 2021, with the possibility of a two-year extension based on performance. Companies that can effectively deliver quality service delivery, workforce management, and technical competence would be well-suited to compete. Additionally, businesses that can demonstrate their capability to enhance the economic, social, and environmental well-being of local communities may find themselves at an advantage in the bidding process, as these considerations are mandated under the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012.
