## Summary

The contracting process involves Knowsley Council, which aims to establish a Framework Agreement for the installation of disabled adaptations, encompassing various works in the construction industry. This framework is divided into five lots, with a total value of £6.5 million over four years. The procurement is currently in the Award stage, having initiated the open tender procedure and signed contracts on 9 March 2021. The works will primarily take place within homes across the borough of Knowsley, United Kingdom.

This tender presents substantial business growth opportunities for construction firms, particularly those specialising in home adaptations, building extensions, and renovation services. Businesses that provide quality construction work, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), would find it advantageous to compete for these contracts due to the council’s intent to appoint multiple providers across different lots, promoting a competitive bidding environment. Key service areas include minor adaptations, level access showers, and major extension projects, catering to a need for improved accessibility in residential properties.
