## Summary

Essex County Council is currently in the active tender stage for the "Semi-independent Accommodation Framework" aimed at securing providers of health and social work services. This procurement, which operates under an open procedure using the light touch regime, has a total value of £30,500,000. Interested suppliers can submit their proposals until 22nd April 2021. The framework will cover multiple lots, including semi-independent accommodation for young people aged 16 and 17, support for Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children, and accommodation for families with no recourse to public funds, all based in the UKH3 region.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in health and social care services, particularly those experienced in providing accommodation and support for vulnerable young people. Companies that can deliver both accommodation and tailored support services will be well-positioned to compete effectively. With the possibility of applying for multiple lots, there is potential for businesses to expand their offerings and increase their market presence within the region, especially given the anticipated refresh mechanism after two years that will allow more providers to enter the framework.
