## Summary

The Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is in the process of extending its existing contract with Platfform for the Housing Support and Advice Service. This extension is necessary due to the unforeseen impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, which disrupted the Health Board’s original timeline for re-tendering. The formal decision to extend the contract was made on 29th March 2021, with the contract set to continue for another 12 months, expiring on 31st March 2021. The procurement method employed for this extension is limited, allowing for the award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses, particularly those involved in community services, mental health support, or housing assistance, to engage with the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. Companies that focus on providing stable housing solutions and related support services may find this contract advantageous as the Health Board seeks to ensure continuity in vital services during the recovery phase following the pandemic. Businesses with experience in working with vulnerable populations in the health sector will be well-equipped to compete in this procurement process.

## Notice

The Mental Health Clinical Board has a requirement to extend the existing contract for the Housing Support and Advice Service. The Contract expiry is due on 31st March 2021 in line with the original contract award against Tender 16/2237. As a result of the COVID 19 pandemic, the Mental Health Clinical Board have had to realign priorities and respond to the situation and therefore have not had the time that was originally planned to work on the renewal Tender and therefore seek an annual extension.
