## Summary

The Northern Ireland Housing Executive is conducting a tender process titled "CT062(b) Major Adaptation works to properties for people with disability," which falls under the construction work industry category. This procurement is at the award stage, having completed on 15 March 2021. The project encompasses six lots across various geographic locations in Northern Ireland, intended for contractors qualified to provide major adaptations for persons with disabilities. Each contract will have an initial duration of 12 months, with an option to extend for another 12 months, contingent on terms outlined in the tender documents. The procurement method used is an open procedure, specifically employing an accelerated process due to prior disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

This tender presents significant opportunities for construction companies, particularly those specialised in building adaptations and refurbishments. Businesses capable of delivering high-quality service within tight timelines would be well-suited to compete, especially those with experience in working on projects involving vulnerable populations. With three contractors to be selected for each lot and a maximum of two lots awarded per economic operator, interested firms should prepare thoroughly to enhance their chances of securing contracts in this important initiative aimed at improving living conditions for individuals with disabilities across Northern Ireland.
