## Summary

The "Pilot Boat Procurement" tender is managed by the Belfast Harbour Commissioners, located in Belfast, UK, focusing on the procurement of goods within the maritime industry. This procurement process, classified under CPV code 34512000 for ships and similar vessels, is currently in the Award stage following its completion. The tender, which included a deadline for submissions on 16th April 2021, aimed to secure a fully operational pilot boat capable of carrying out navigation duties in Belfast Lough, with a value estimating around £1,200,000. Interested parties were able to submit their bids through a selective procurement method, which involved a negotiated procedure after a prior call for competition.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in maritime vessels and related services. Companies that manufacture or supply pilot boats, as well as those offering maintenance and spare parts for such vessels, would find this tender particularly relevant. The successful bidder will have the potential to establish a long-term partnership with the Belfast Harbour Commissioners, including a possible ten-year relationship for maintenance services, thus fostering sustained growth in the marine sector.
