## Summary

The NHSE Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership has recently completed the procurement process for the Childhood Health Information Service (CHIS), which falls under the health and social work services category. This procurement was initiated under a 'limited' method due to extreme urgency, specifically in response to pressures brought on by COVID-19. The procurement, which took place in the delivery locations of Oldham, Trafford, Rochdale, and Bury, involved a single tender action, with a total contract value of £598,291 signed on 31 January 2021. The procurement was conducted in accordance with relevant Public Contract Regulations, and a future market engagement analysis will guide any further procurement actions necessary for this service.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses within the healthcare sector, particularly those specialising in child health services and public health interventions. Suppliers that offer comprehensive health information systems and services aligned with the Healthy Child programme would be well-positioned to compete in future opportunities following the market engagement analysis. The urgency of this procurement suggests a responsive market may yield further growth potential for businesses capable of addressing immediate health and social care needs in the Manchester region and beyond.
