## Summary

The procurement process involves Public Health England (PHE), which is a part of the Department of Health and Social Care, aiming to award a contract for an ICT service titled "Foodswitch licence agreement via STA." This procurement falls under the services industry, specifically data capture services (CPV code 72313000). The procurement method was limited, with the rationale indicating that The Global Institute for Global Health is the sole supplier of the required food attribute data due to technical reasons. The contract was signed on 18 March 2021, and delivery is expected to occur within the UK.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in data services and applications. Companies engaged in health tech, app development, and data management would be particularly well-suited to compete for similar future tenders. With PHE prioritising the enhancement of user experience through their Change4Life Food Scanner app, firms that can provide innovative solutions to improve data accuracy and user engagement may find substantial prospects for collaboration and contract opportunities in this sector.
