## Summary

The Open University is currently planning a procurement process for the title "Information Rights Software" within the software package and information systems industry category. This pre-market research initiative, classified under goods, aims to identify a suitable software solution for their day-to-day GDPR and FOIA operational requirements. Interested suppliers must submit their Request for Information Response Document by noon on 29th April 2021. Additionally, the university is hosting briefing sessions from 6th to 14th April 2021, providing an opportunity for potential suppliers to discuss requirements in detail.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in software development, particularly those with expertise in GDPR compliance and information security solutions. Companies providing security and data management software could benefit from engaging in this process, as the Open University seeks to enhance its operational capabilities. Participation in the briefings and responding to the request for information could position suppliers favourably for future contracts, thereby facilitating business growth in the education sector.
