## Summary

The procurement process involves Wolverhampton City Council, which has issued a tender for the "CWC20178 - Detached Youth Work Service." This service falls under the category of "Other community, social and personal services" and is intended to provide youth work for individuals aged 8 to 25, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The procurement process is currently at the award stage, having been completed with an active contract awarded to Base 25, which is valued at £290,214 and runs until 30 April 2023.

This tender presents excellent opportunities for businesses in the community and social services sector, particularly those specialising in youth engagement and outreach. Companies that can demonstrate experience in providing detached youth work, engaging vulnerable populations, and developing flexible service models will be well-positioned to compete. The contract requires service providers to connect with over 3,500 young individuals annually, making it ideal for organisations focused on social development and community inclusion.

## Notice

The City of Wolverhampton Council has sought to contract with a provider for the provision of detached youth work services for 8-18 year old's, and up to 25 years old for SEND young people. The aim is to lead work across the City to develop and embed a 'culture of belonging' where all children and young people feel part of their school and local community. Part of this is ensuring that youth provision is accessible and flexible, offered at times and in locations when and where young people need services most. Success will be measured not only by the number of young people participating in the offer overall, but also those young people who are most vulnerable being engaged in opportunities which are of interest and value to them. The successful provider will be expected to connect with over 3,500 children and young people each year.
