## Notice

The objectives of the Councils Work Related Learning DPS and the education delivered by Providers are: - To deliver outstanding services for children and young people, requiring access to vocational courses and/or tailored education provisions. - To ensure that young people are appropriately supported and are accessing the most suitable provisions which will enable progress and achievement. - To provide a flexible, personalised, alternative provision for 9-19-year-old learners to complement the existing school curriculum. - To support and apply innovative solutions in organising enrichment activities, which lead to increased engagement. - To promote good attendance and retention on all course(s). - To raise the confidence and self-esteem of learners. - To enable learners to achieve personal goals in order to progress onto a positive pathway post 16. - Deliver specialised provision as required to support learners with identified barriers to learning. The WRL Service will advertise the availability and full course details at any given time, to allow schools to access/call-off for their young people. These courses are split into the following Lots; Lot 1 - Vocational Courses - Price Band 1 Lot 2 - Vocational Courses - Price Band 2 Lot 3 - Social Development Lot 4 - Transition Programmes Lot 5 - Core Curriculum Lot 6 - Specialist Provisions

### Lot Information

Vocational Courses - Price Band 1

Designed for students of all abilities, with an inclusive approach. The aim of the Vocational courses is for students to work towards and achieve an accreditation, increase their skills, and enable them to adapt to a working environment. Band 1 covers all courses which fall between PS2000 - PS2500 per course* to deliver. *Calculated on 38 days service delivery - 1 student, 1 day per week, for 1 academic year 38 Weeks.

Vocational Courses Price Band 2

As per Lot 1 - Band 2 covers all courses which fall between PS2500 - PS3000* per course to deliver. *Calculated on 38 days service delivery - 1 student, 1 day per week, for 1 academic year 38 Weeks.

Social Development

To support students who are facing social barriers, which in turn are affecting academic learning and lifestyles. Courses will be designed to support young people in finding mechanisms to combat barriers faced and support with choosing a positive healthy lifestyle.

Transition Courses

Designed to implement strategies and support systems to ensure a smooth transition between educational milestones. These programs are designed to make the transition from primary to secondary school and secondary school to employment or further training. The course will identify any needs specific to the learner.

Core Curriculum

Designed for students of all abilities, with an inclusive approach. The Core Curriculum areas identified will support those young people who cannot access this compulsory education in a mainstream school setting. The objective is to remove the barriers of location/setting to allow the opportunity for subject areas to still be achieved.

Specialist Provisions

Enabling schools/academies to request specialist provisions as required. There are many training providers who are specialist in specific areas in learning and development, who will create a bespoke course when there is demand. This process designs the provision around demand, working towards identified desired outcomes.
