## Summary

The Coal Authority is planning a tender for an Emergency Call Out with Minor Works and Subsidence Repairs Framework, with an estimated value of £13,000,000. The procurement process is currently in the planning stage, with a supplier engagement event scheduled for 20 April 2021 via Zoom, prior to the formal call for competition expected on or after 3 May 2021. The framework will cover various regions across the UK, including Scotland, North East & Cumbria, North West & Yorkshire, and the Midlands, and aims to address public safety incidents and subsidence repairs related to historical coal mining activities.

This tender presents significant opportunities for construction and repair businesses, particularly those with expertise in emergency response, structural repairs, and subsidence remediation. Companies that can provide 24/7 emergency call-out services, as well as those experienced in domestic and commercial property repairs, would be well-suited to compete for contracts under this framework. The non-exclusive nature of the agreement allows for multiple bidders to submit for various lots, enhancing the potential for business growth in a sector addressing critical public safety needs.
