## Summary

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire has recently awarded contracts for Specialist Cleaning & Decontamination Services as part of an open procurement process. This initiative focuses on providing specialized cleaning services to the North West Police Region, covering Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and North Wales. The winning contractor will manage a framework agreement that spans four years, effective from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2024, with an optional extension available for another year. Key dates included the award phase starting June 24, 2021, with an invitation to tender extensively documenting the service requirements for rapid response and 24/7 operational capabilities across various police facilities. The procurement method used is an open procedure, enabling broad participation from potential suppliers.

This procurement represents significant opportunities for cleaning and sanitation service providers, particularly those experienced in emergency response and specialized decontamination services. Companies equipped to manage rigorous quality and price assessments will find themselves well-suited for this endeavour. The significant financial allocations of £500,000 for the executed contracts highlight the potential for substantial revenue growth, making this a prime opportunity for contractors with the necessary capabilities and certifications in the public safety and sanitation sectors.
