### Procurement Information

The contracted provider of the services (under OJEU Award reference: 020/S 044-105560) notified the local authorities involved in the existing contract that they were going into administration in February 2021 and therefore could no longer provide the services with immediate effect. The local authorities have a statutory duty to collect and dispose of refuse and therefore an alternative provider needed to be appointed with immediate effect. Various organisations were approached and the appointed provider had capacity for the waste and represented value for money. Contract Period 1 April 2021 - 31 March 2022. A new procurement process will be commenced within the next 12 months.
