Alternative providers will consider Safeguarding their number one priority as the students who are placed by the Alternative learning and progression service are extremely vulnerable and detailed attention by each provider will be needed to keep all of these students safe. Alternative providers will provide students with a curriculum that is robust and fit for purpose, but is forward thinking enough to open opportunities to return to school or to follow aspirational post 16 course and destinations. Luton Council intends to set up an approved list of suitable qualified providers.
