## Summary

The recent public procurement process involves APUC Limited, which is seeking suppliers for the provision of Fresh Fish and Seafood products for the Scottish Higher and Further Education sector. This tender is classified under the goods category and is conducted through an open procurement method. The tender period is scheduled to end on 28th May 2021, with a maximum of four contractors expected to be appointed across various geographical lots including North Highland & Western Isles, Aberdeen & Grampians, Perth, Angus, Dundee & Fife, South East Scotland, and South West Scotland, with each lot requiring suppliers to provide at least 85% of designated products.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those involved in the seafood industry, to expand their operations within the UK education sector. Companies capable of meeting the sustainability and compliance conditions outlined in the tender, such as the Sustain Supply Chain Code of Conduct and other ethical standards, are well-positioned to compete. Additionally, smaller and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to penetrate the higher education market may find this a beneficial contract to pursue, given the framework that promotes price normalisation across different institutions.
