## Summary

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs is currently managing the "Engineering Delivery Framework" tender, which falls under the construction work category. The procurement process is at the Award stage, having been signed on 30 April 2021, with an extension for the framework contract set until 17 September 2022. This procurement has a total value of £32 million and will take place at the Animal and Plant Health Agency located in Addlestone, Surrey. The procurement method used was a limited negotiation without the publication of a contract notice, allowing for the efficient continuation of services amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those in the construction and engineering sectors. Firms specialising in construction work, engineering design services, and project management would be well-suited to compete. With several other suppliers already involved, companies looking to enter this competitive environment should prepare to showcase their capabilities in providing high-quality service, ensuring compliance with management responsibilities, and demonstrating an ability to deal with the complexities of continuous service during the current climate. Additionally, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and larger firms with relevant expertise are encouraged to participate to secure valuable contracts.
