## Summary

The procurement process is being led by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care through the UK Health Security Agency, with a focus on logistics and professional services in Nigeria under the project title "PHE_Scientific_Global_Logistics & Professional Services-Nigeria". This procurement falls under the services category, specifically targeting event and travel management services. The main procurement stage currently is the award, with the contract recently being updated and extended until 30 June 2025 to ensure continuity while a new procurement is concluded. This extension has increased the contract's value by £360,000, bringing the total to £3,074,208, including VAT. The services are primarily to be delivered in the UKI4 region. The contract modification was facilitated by Regulation 72(1)(e), indicating the necessity for additional services. The procurement method originally involved an open procedure but subsequent extensions were made without prior advertisement.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for companies specialising in event and travel management services within the logistics framework. Businesses that can deliver comprehensive travel, accommodation and event management services seamlessly across different regions, especially focusing on global health infrastructure, would be well-suited to compete. This procurement is ideal for firms that have the capacity and experience to handle contracts within the healthcare logistics domain, and are capable of mobilising services rapidly to comply with international health regulations. The participation of large-scale suppliers with prior experience in similar contracts, exemplified by the African Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET), showcases the calibre of service provision necessary for successfully competing in this marketplace.
