## Summary

The most recent procurement process concerns a tender awarded to The Police and Crime Commissioner for Humberside on 29th January 2026. The process involved a contract for the supply and maintenance of wood pellets under a renewable biomass supply initiative. The process began as a selective, restricted procedure and falls under the industry category of petroleum products, fuel, electricity, and other sources of energy. This ongoing award includes a ten-year contract period initiated from 1st April 2026, with an estimated value of up to £10,000,000. The successful supplier is AMP Clean Energy Ltd, known for providing quality goods and services in this sector. The police commissioner, headquartered in Cottingham, UK, is the contracting authority and has completed the award stage of the procurement process.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in renewable energy, particularly those with expertise in biomass solutions. Companies with capabilities in wood pellet manufacturing, boiler installation, and maintenance services can leverage this contract to grow their business in the public sector. Additionally, businesses offering comprehensive service packages that include annual reviews and contract expansions should find this opportunity particularly appealing. With over £10 million up for grabs over the contract's lifespan, organisations focusing on sustainable fuel solutions can compete effectively to strengthen their market presence and foster partnerships within public safety agencies like Humberside Police.
