### Procurement Information

Following the end of the NSV contract with Matrix Healthcare Services UK Ltd in July 2019 South Tyneside CCG put in place a procurement process to be able to continue an NSV service for our residents. An initial (February 2020) and subsequent (May 2021) procurement resulted in no bids being received. As a result of the above options the incumbent provider was approached to determine whether they would be willing to accept a long-term contract to deliver this service. This was declined by the Provider. Following lack of interest from potential providers South Tyneside CCG initiated direct discussions with a provider who was already delivering this service within the region. This has created a viable option for service provision and to the decision to award the above contract.
