## Summary

Kent County Council, in collaboration with Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group, is seeking organisations to provide specialist bereavement support services for residents in Kent and Medway, titled "Specialist Bereavement Services." This initiative falls under the health and social work services category and is currently in the Planning stage. The procurement process employs an Open Procedure, with an initial contract duration of three years, anticipated to commence in early summer 2021, following a mobilisation period. Key dates relating to the tender process will be provided in forthcoming documentation, with potential extensions available for two additional years. The maximum contract value per year is set at £125,000 for two defined lots, with additional flexible funding available.

This tender presents significant opportunities for growth, especially for organisations specialising in mental health, support services, and trauma-informed practices. Businesses with a proven track record in delivering bereavement services, particularly those that address the needs of younger individuals or those bereaved by suicide, are well-positioned to compete. The segmented lots enable organisations to bid for specific areas of expertise, allowing for tailored proposals that meet the distinct needs of the Kent and Medway population.
