## Summary

Bury Council has completed a procurement process for a Framework Agreement to provide Banking Services, which began on 15 September 2021 and will last for four years, concluding on 14 September 2025. This procurement, classified under the CPV code for Banking services (66110000), involves multiple authorities within the Greater Manchester area, including Blackpool, Bolton, and Manchester among others. With the contract awarded to Barclays Bank plc, the framework will facilitate individual contracts via call-off orders by the participating organizations. The procurement method employed was an open procedure, and the deadline for submission occurred on 21 June 2021.

This opportunity presents a significant avenue for business growth, particularly for financial service providers and banks capable of delivering comprehensive banking solutions tailored to public sector needs. As the agreement allows several public bodies to utilise this framework, businesses offering innovative services in account operations, payments, and electronic banking are encouraged to explore potential collaboration. Given that social value and quality of service specification are key award criteria, firms that excel in these areas will be particularly well-positioned to participate in future tenders within this framework.

## Notice

The framework agreement is for a four year period from September 2021.
