## Summary

The procurement process titled "Victim First - Safer Streets 2" has been initiated by Leicestershire Police to expand their target hardening services for victims of crime within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The award for this tender, classified under "Other community, social and personal services," was completed on 21st May 2021, with a value of £2,308,225. The procurement method employed was a limited procedure, which was conducted without prior publication of a call for competition, due to the urgent need for bespoke solutions following unexpected additional funding from the Home Office.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in community safety services, particularly those capable of providing tailored and innovative security solutions for crime victims. Given the technical intricacies involved, companies that have experience in delivering bespoke target hardening services would be well-suited to compete. The unique requirement of addressing specific security issues for individual properties, combined with the urgency of the contract, enables firms with strong capabilities in social and personal services to establish or strengthen their foothold in this vital sector.
