In areas of the County where demand for residential with nursing care is high, the Council requires access to a specified number of residential placements in order to meet the statutory needs of local people. The Council is therefore seeking to procure the required capacity via flexible bulk purchasing (a block contract) in Furness, Cumbria, thus securing the required service capacity at a price which offers improved value for money.

Options: It will run for a maximum of 3 years with 2 optional extensions of 12 months each making a total possible extension of 24 months.

Renewal: 2 possible extensions of 12 months = 24 months
