The potential for contract renewal after the initial term further enhances the growth opportunities for successful bidders. ## Notice Cumbria County Council (hereafter referred to as the Authority) is committed to continue to improve services for children and young people with the ambition of achieving positive outcomes for all young people. The Authority has a statutory duty to deliver 'Short Breaks for Children with Disabilities' and is therefore commissioning a 'Specialist Overnight Short Breaks Service' to deliver Short Breaks to eligible children and young people. Services shall be delivered at the Authority owned Short Breaks Children's Homes. Service Providers shall ensure that services are delivered in line with the Authority's strategic priorities, policies and procedures (including amendments, re-enactments and updates), including, but not limited to: the Short Breaks Statement, Cumbria Children and Young People's Plan 2019-22, the Children's Services Safeguarding Improvement Programme, the Cumbria SEND Improvement Programme, Cumbria Children Looked After Strategy 2019-23, the Council Plan 2018-2022 and the Cumbria Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2019-2029. The Service Provider shall be responsible for carrying out robust research, as well as verification and analysis of data to inform their service delivery planning. ### Lot Information North ( Carlisle and Eden) Cumbria Children's Trust Board sets as it's overarching vision: "Cumbria is a great place to grow up and all children are healthy, safe and achieving". Specialist Overnight Short Breaks aims to: i. Enhance the wellbeing of the young person and their parents / carers; ii. Provide positive experiences for young people with disabilities, which at the same time provides a break from caring for their primary carers; iii. Contribute to the personal and social development of the young person to develop their confidence and independence and help build family resilience; iv. Provide a safe and friendly environment where young people can play, have fun, and express their individuality; v. To empower young people and their families to determine the direction of the Service. Renewal: Option to extend for 12 months plus a firther 12 months South ( Barrow & South Lakeland Cumbria Children's Trust Board sets as it's overarching vision: "Cumbria is a great place to grow up and all children are healthy, safe and achieving". The Authority is commissioning the Specialist Overnight Short Breaks Service to meet our statutory duties, national guidance, local strategic priorities and to deliver best practice. Specialist Overnight Short Breaks aims to: i. Enhance the wellbeing of the young person and their parents / carers; ii.
