## Summary

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is currently conducting a tender for the provision of Bespoke Packages of Care Services for children in need, with an emphasis on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This active procurement, categorised under Child daycare services, has a contract value of £2,000,000 and is set to commence on 1st October 2021, lasting for a period of two years, with the possibility of extension. Interested applicants must submit their bids by 6th July 2021, as the procurement method is an open procedure allowing for electronic and written submissions.

This tender presents valuable opportunities for businesses that specialise in social care services, particularly those with experience in child welfare and family support. Companies providing high-quality daycare and rehabilitation services for individuals with disabilities or those at risk of placement breakdown would be especially well-suited to compete. Engaging in this procurement can enhance business growth by enabling organisations to join a framework of providers and contribute to meaningful interventions for vulnerable children and their families.

## Notice

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham has a legal responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people in their area in accordance with section 17 of the Children's Act 1989 and is advertising to seek tenders from suitably experienced and qualified organisations to join our framework of providers for the provision of Bespoke Packages of Care Services. The new contracts are expected to run for a period of two years commencing on the 01st October 2021 and may be extended for a further two years subject to funding and performance. The award of contracts will be based on the most economically advantageous tender. The service will provide bespoke care and support packages for children in need, children in care, children with disabilities and children subject to a child protection plan. This early intervention will be targeted and focused on the following type of cases: a) Edge of care: intervention is targeted at families who are in crisis and on the brink of having their child placed into care. Bespoke packages will be specifically focused on ameliorating familial issues, dispelling the need of children and/or young people into the care system. b) Rehabilitation: intervention is targeted at families who have children and/or young people that are already in the care system. Bespoke packages will be specifically focused on preparing the children/young people and their families for reunification, and thus exit from the care system. c) Fragile Placement/Outreach Packages: intervention is targeted at children and/or young people who are already in the care system with a placement that is on the verge of breakdown. Bespoke packages will be specifically focused on preventing placement breakdown.
