The University of Strathclyde is conducting a public procurement process for the supply and delivery of a Laser Metal Deposition System (LMD) as part of their project within the National Manufacturing Institute of Scotland. The tender is currently in the active stage and was initiated under an open procurement method. The tender is set to close on 6th July 2021, with a contract value estimated at £1,200,000. This procurement falls under the category of goods and relates to the industrial lasers industry, specifically designated as CPV 38636110. Opportunities for business growth exist in this tender, particularly for suppliers that specialize in advanced manufacturing technologies and have experience with laser systems. Companies that can provide a turnkey solution for LMD, including the necessary technical capabilities and compliance with health and safety regulations, will be well-positioned to compete. The requirement for potential suppliers to demonstrate their experience and maintain significant insurance policies indicates a preference for established and reliable companies in the sector.
