## Summary

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) within the UK is conducting a procurement process titled "MSS/107 - MTU Diesel Generator Support," to secure support for MTU Future Diesel Generators. This initiative falls under the installation services of diesel engines category, with an active contract value of £14 million. The contract will span from 1st January 2022 to December 2027 and is currently in the award stage, having been awarded to MTU following a negotiated procedure without prior publication due to the lack of suitable tenders. The procurement process is taking place in the UK, specifically administered from Bristol.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those specialising in maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for diesel engines and related equipment. As MTU is the Original Equipment Manufacturer, firms with expertise in technical support and those capable of facilitating sub-contracting arrangements would be particularly well-suited to engage in this market. The lack of competition signals an opportunity for businesses to harness the project's potential, especially if they can provide innovative solutions or specialised knowledge in diesel engine technology.
