## Summary

The Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC) is conducting a procurement process for books, e-books, e-textbooks, and associated services, classified under library books (CPV: 22113000). This tender is part of a framework agreement and is currently in the tender stage. The process includes various lots, with budget allocations amounting to £360 million. The deadlines for submissions have been updated; the current tender period ends on 18 August 2021. SUPC provides this procurement opportunity to institutions within several higher education regional purchasing consortia across the UK.

This tender creates significant opportunities for businesses involved in publishing, book distribution, and e-textbook services, particularly those targeting educational institutions. Suppliers that can provide a wide range of library-related products and services, including both print and digital formats, will be well-suited to compete. Notably, smaller enterprises, especially those hinting at innovative services or sustainable procurement practices, could also find a niche within the framework, meeting the diverse needs of participating universities and colleges.
