## Summary

Cumbria County Council is seeking suppliers for a Framework Agreement titled "Framework Agreement for the Provision of Specialised Services in Care Homes". This procurement process, classified under the CPV category 85000000 for health and social work services, is currently in the Award stage following the completion of the Tender phase. The tender aims to commission specialized care services, with active contracts commencing from 11th October 2021 and lasting until 10th October 2024, inclusive of two optional 12-month extensions. The estimated value for all lots is £60,000,000.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the health and social care sector, particularly those capable of providing additional specialized services for care homes. Companies, particularly SMEs, that focus on residential and nursing care services are well-suited to compete. With two lots available—Block Contracts ensuring guaranteed funding for care beds and Spot Placements based on availability—there are diverse avenues for providers to engage in this framework, enabling expansion within the evolving care market in the UK.
