This contract, awarded on 15 July 2021, falls under the legal basis of a limited procurement method, specifically negotiated without prior publication, due to the unique abilities of the Leeds Advice Consortium to provide essential legal advisory services in areas including welfare benefits, debt, housing, and immigration. There is a provision for a potential contract extension annually for up to 12 months, depending on funding confirmation.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in legal advisory services or social welfare to grow and expand their reach within the community of Leeds. Since the service has been uniquely tailored by the Leeds Advice Consortium, new entrants or existing providers capable of delivering comprehensive legal advice and who have the infrastructure to meet fluctuating demand will be well-suited to compete for future opportunities.
